A person has died after stepping into problem at Brighton seaside on New Yr’s Day.
Sussex Police have been alerted to a person having been recovered from the ocean after stepping into problem at round 10.35 on the morning of Thursday, 1 January.
He had been within the water to the west of Brighton Palace Pier, the pressure mentioned.
The 51-year-old man from Kettering in Northamptonshire was dropped at shore and obtained medical consideration, however was pronounced lifeless on the scene.
His subsequent of kin and the coroner have been knowledgeable.
The dying will not be being handled as suspicious.
A spokesperson from HM Coastguard mentioned it was first alerted to “an incident involving a male swimmer in problem within the water” at about 10.10am.
“Coastguard rescue groups from Shoreham and Newhaven have been despatched alongside Brighton RNLI [Royal National Lifeboat Institution] inshore lifeboat.”
