A significant search was launched on a stretch of the River Irwell at a rustic park in Salford this morning, after a boy reportedly received into problem within the water. Emergency companies and specialist groups have been deployed to the scene at Clifton Nation Park in Salford, after the incident on Saturday afternoon, the MEN experiences.
A Better Manchester Police spokesperson has stated this morning: “At round 4.49pm on Saturday 27 June 2026, we have been known as to experiences of boy stepping into problem within the River Irwell at Clifton Nation Park. Emergency companies and specialist search groups stay on the scene. The incident is ongoing.”
