Former French president Nicolas Sarkozy has been the goal of dying threats in jail – lower than a day after starting a five-year sentence for felony conspiracy.
A video circulating on-line, which appeared to have been filmed by an inmate, confirmed verbal threats being made on Sarkozy’s arrival at Paris’ La Sante jail.
In keeping with Reuters, the Paris prosecutor’s workplace was alerted to the video yesterday.
Three inmates have been questioned as a part of the investigation, and two cellphones have been seized throughout a search of the jail.
Sarkozy, who led France from 2007 to 2012, was jailed on Tuesday after being convicted of conspiring to lift marketing campaign funds from Libya.

Information of the threats emerged after it was reported the previous president could be assigned two everlasting law enforcement officials as bodyguards, stationed in close by cells all through his time in jail, to make sure he involves no hurt.

Hugo Vitry, a guard at La Sante and head of the native department of the Drive Ouvriere union, mentioned that they had not been knowledgeable about Sarkozy’s safety element.
