A man has appeared in court charged with the murder of a man at a Scots holiday park.
Sean Ward, 21,appeared at Greenock Sheriff Court on Tuesday. Ward, of Motherwell, was also charged with breaching his bail conditions.
He made no plea. The case was committed for further examination.
Ward was remanded in custody and will be expected to reappear in court within the next eight days.
Raymond Cosgrove died after he was found seriously injured at Wemyss Bay Holiday Park in Inverclyde at 12.05am on Sunday.
Emergency services raced to the caravan site but the 33-year-old died at the scene.
His family are being supported by specialist officers from Police Scotland.
A 28-year-old woman was earlier arrested in connection with an alleged assault but has since been released pending further inquiry.
Pictures taken from the scene on Sunday showed forensic officers scouring the area, which was cordoned off as police carried out inquiries.
Tributes have since flooded in for Raymond. Liz O’Donnell Fullerton wrote: “Tragic, condolences to the family.”
Donna Stevens added: “Heartbreaking. So sad. Thinking of his family and friends xx”
Detective Inspector Nicky Beattie said: “I’m aware this incident will be a cause of concern for people and I would like to confirm Raymond’s family is being supported by specialist officers during this time.”
