One of many whiskies focused on the Glenturret Distillery, which is dwelling to a two-Michelin starred restaurant, was price £5500 a bottle.
Thieves made off with whisky price 1000’s of kilos throughout an early morning raid at a Perthshire distillery on the weekend.
The break-in and theft occurred on the Glenturret Distillery close to Crieff – which homes the two-Michelin starred Glenturret Lalique restaurant – round 4.45am on Saturday.
A number of costly editions of Glenturret whisky in distinctive bottles made by luxurious glassmaker Lalique have been amongst these stolen.
The haul included a bottle of Nonetheless Life Spring price £5500 and Glenturret 25-year-old 2024 which sells for £1400.
In line with the Glenturret web site the Nonetheless Life Spring version was restricted to solely 105 bottles worldwide and the 25-year-old 2024 version to 210 bottles.
A Glenturret Distillery spokesperson mentioned: “On-site safety alerted our group, and native law enforcement officials have been instantly notified and responded swiftly to the scene.
“No accidents have been reported, and the security of our staff and prospects stays our highest precedence.
“Right now, we’re unable to remark additional because of the ongoing investigation.
“We ask for the group’s understanding and persistence as we work carefully with the authorities.”

Police Scotland mentioned: “A number of excessive worth bottles of Glenturret whisky in distinctive bottles made by Lalique have been stolen and stay excellent.”
Glenturret, which dates from 1763, is Scotland’s oldest working distillery and was offered by Edrington in 2018.
It’s owned by the Lalique Group and Swiss entrepreneur Hansjörg Wyss, who every maintain 50 per cent.
The Glenturret Lalique restaurant, established in 2021, was first awarded the gastronomic accolade of two Michelin stars in February 2024, and retained the pre-eminent honour at this 12 months’s awards.
Perthshire’s Glenturret Lalique and Gleneagles’ Restaurant Andrew Fairlie are the one two Michelin starred eating places in Scotland.
